This review is for a delightfully charming baby girl dress, style KD1436. This oh-so-charming little frock comes in the sweetest shades around: pink and fuchsia. If you're a darling and dear, go with pink. If you're fun and fancy, go with fuchsia! This lovely dress was designed with only the exciting and cheerful little girl to wear! A dress this cute could only be made available to babies and toddlers. For babies, we have sizes small for ages 6 to 9 months, size medium for 9 to 12 months, size large for 12 to 18 months, and size extra large for 18 to 24 months. For the active little toddler we have sizes 2T, 3T, and 4T.
Constructed entirely of a light weight crystal organza, the fabric is soft, yet firm, and with a subtle sheen that seems to sparkle in the sunlight. Starting from the top, the sleeveless bodice is fitted and slim with a scoop neckline and a zipper enclosure at the center back. Adorning the front of the bodice is a chest piece of dainty and adorable little embroidered flowers and leaves accented by shiny sequins and beads. The embroidery graces the neckline and cascades down to the center of the waist. A crisp and pleated waist band accents the line where the bodice and the skirt meet, then converts into an adjustable waist sash which can be tied into a bow at the back and provides a better fit for the dress. The front of the waistband is emphasized with an attached, medium-sized rosebud applique, constructed of the same organza fabric. The rosebud is complete with little leaves and multiple ribbons.
Following down to the skirt is the same intricate and charming embroidery. Here, the embroidery accents the fantastic design of this skirt, designed like the petals of a flower with layers of organza that fan out from the center. The curved hems of the petal skirt are followed by the little embroidered flowers and leaves that stretch and reach from the waist, down to the hem. Unfortunately, the embroidery only decorates the front of the dress and the back of the dress remains quite plain. However, this fun and lovely dress is given extra bounce and volume with a small layer of crinoline enclosed and fully sewn into the underlayers of the skirt and further protected by lining. As if all the exquisite detailing and voluminous skirt weren't enough, both the baby and toddler sized dresses are accompanied by a matching bow headband!
