The bolero is meant to just cover the shoulders as it is designed with short sleeves featuring the slightest amount of volume in the cap. The opening of the bolero swoops out to cover the chest, providing a comfortable and beautiful way to cover the shoulders. I wish there was some beading or embroidery on the bolero, but as it is plain, the bolero could even be worn with other dresses!
