This review is for our decadent flower girl dress, style J349G. This lovely work of art comes in pink, coral, white, lilac, turquoise, ivory, and red available in sizes 4 to 14. While many of our flower girl dresses balance design between simple and elaborate, this dress seems to have it all! Made of a high quality organza, there is a subtle crystal sheen to the fabric. The organza holds the silhouette of the A-line skirt very well and with finesse; both a firm hold in the shape with the right amount of flow and softness. The organza is not as soft as a chiffon or satin, but for as much shape as it holds, it is softer than taffeta. Starting from the top, double spaghetti straps support a bodice with beautiful princess seams that extend from the neckline down to the hem asymmetrical skirt on both the front and back of the dress. There are daisy, leaf, and vine embroidery designs reaching out across the front of the bodice and cascading down from a central point on the left hip. Accenting the embroidery are pearls, both rounded and oval, opalescent beads and sequins highlighting the flowers and leaves. Both the embroidery and the sequins are sewn very well and firmly into the fabric leaving little room for loose threads and beads. The bodice is really eye-catching and beautiful and it's hard to come across a flower girl dress with as much intricate details as this one. The skirt opens out from the left hip, accented by a detachable satin and organza floral pin with ribbons, featuring alternating layers of smooth and accordion pleated organza, which gives off a very fancy look. The layers seem to fan out from the hip like the petals of a flower and all the hems of the layers are clean-finished nicely. A few minor details to take note of are the flower pin ribbons which are not clean finished and the alternating layers of smooth and pleated organza that unfortunately do not continue to the back of the dress, which is forgivable because the front of the flower girl dress is so fantastic! The back of this flower girl dress has a hidden zipper-back enclosure as well as elastic at the top and an adjustable waist sash that can be tied into a big bow. Included with this flower girl dress is a lovely organza scarf. With all the amazing design details incorporated into this fancy dress, especially this most uniquely designed skirt, paired with top quality fabrics and craftsmanship, this dress gives you the most bang for your buck! |
